How to get to Broadwood Stadium

Walking it

These are directions from Croy train station to Broadwood Stadium. Its about a 20 minute (mostly up-hill) walk from the station. You should be aware that there are no shops of any description or pubs or public facilties on either route until you reach the Stadium.

Croy Station

Croy StationDirect trains from/to Glasgow Queen Street, Bishopbriggs & Lenzie on platform 2 (train pictured). Direct trains from/to Edinburgh, Falkirk High, Larbet, Stirling, Bridge of Allan & Dunblane on platform 1. Ticket Office is on platform 2. Access to/from platforms can be made by stairs or ramp. The buses (numbers 348 & 349) in the background are in the station carpark, however they only serve the local area. They do not go to Broadwood.....

bus stop on bridge....However on the road bridge at the station there is a bus stop for a limited local service (numbers 43 or 147) which do go near to Broadwood (Craiglinn Interchange). You will have to cross the road to the sheltered stop for these services. For details about these buses, go
here. Otherwise, its time for a walk.

walk From the station, turn right on to the main road. Stay on the same side of the road & follow the pavement until you come to the new mini-roundabout (4 minutes) You now have a choice of two routes to get to Broadwood.

The new road, to the right of the mini-roundabout, is a long walk (@ 20-25 minutes) to Broadwood Stadium. If you choose this route, be aware of constuction lorries & cyclists ! Click here for directions along this new road.

However If you go straight through the mini-roundabout, you will be able to use a slightly shorter route (@ 15-18 minute walk), which is now paved & happily avoids the previous trek through the muddy fields, which had been the normal route since Clyde moved to Broadwood. Click here for directions.

a map with both walking routes marked out is now available from this link
