Trains to/from Cumbernauld
Cumbernauld station is on the Glasgow Queen Street/ Cumbernauld/ Falkirk Grahamston line & also the Motherwell/ Coatbridge/ Cumbernauld line. There are direct trains, operated by ScotRail, from Glasgow Queen Street (also stopping at Springburn & Stepps).Theres also direct trains from Falkirk Grahamston & Camelon stations. Theres usually @ 2 trains an hour from Glasgow & journey time is @ 25 minutes. From Falkirk Grahamston its a more limited hourly service taking @ 20 minutes. Trains coming from Glasgow & Motherwell & going to Falkirk, use Platform 2 (the Ticket Office side). Trains arriving from Falkirk & trains going to Glasgow & Motherwell, use Platform 1. (the scabby wee shelter side. See the picture above.
An hourly service operates to/from Motherwell, Whifflet & Coatbridge Central, taking @ 20 minutes, but it should be noted that this service to Coatbridge/ Motherwell after a Midweek game shuts down @ 2200hrs, so you could be left stranded.
The Adult return train fare from Glasgow to Cumbernauld is £4.00. Falkirk to Cumbernauld is £5.00. From Motherwell to Cumbernauld it is £3.50.

There is also a 24hr taxi office beside the station booking office & a public telephone. Taxi fare to Broadwood should cost no more than £5.
