Welcome to the Ice Station

Hello and welcome to this basic & totally unofficial guide on how to get to Broadwood Stadium in Cumbernauld, by using the local public transport services available in the immediate area.

Clyde Football Club currently lease most of the Stadium, in order to play the game of fitba' (association football or soccer) at a Senior level within the Scottish game. An 8096 all-seater stadium with 3 stands, it has hosted UEFA youth international games involving Scotlands' U21 & 'B' teams & also womans' full international games & various high profile Junior level games.

It was hoped that a 4th stand would have been built, as documented in the original lease agreement (lasting 50 years from 1994), thus completing the stadium, but this was not achieved due to various factors. There is now no intent by Broadwood Stadium Company Ltd (in essence the local authority, North Lanarkshire Council) to complete Broadwood into a 4 stand stadium. The stadium company instead have proceeded to build another gymnasium building, so the pitch is now enclosed by 4 structures, with only 3 of them capable of ensuring that fans are facing the pitch.
